Tonight we threw together a last minute D&D session. It turned out to be fun and one of the more relaxing sessions as far as DM duties went.
The PCs continued into the Garden of Graves structure. They defeated zombies, a firbog shell, and the ivy heart at the center of the complex. Thalion, once again, was a step from death as his soul was almost stolen by the ivy heart. Pelor favors him strongly. The PCs then ended up at a double door. After a lightning trap hit Thalion and Argarwane, they figured out the trap and got past it. Then they discovered a strange engine at the heart of the garden. They destroyed it and found a magic staff.
Our PCs left the garden and sent out a messenger bird for Aranil at Brightkeep Academy. He got them safely to Brightkeep where they asked him questions. He spoke of his source of information in the Astral Sea. This source told him that Starfire had been spotted in the bright city of Hestavar.
“How credible is this ‘source’?” said Thalion.
“His name is Chigaru,” replied Aranil.
The PCs looked stunned and were clearly taken by surprise (I enjoyed that). With that, they asked about the garden of graves since it was in the Feywild as well. With the information given him, he said that this event probably crosses into other realms as well. They best stop this threat before pursuing Starfire. If left unattended, this could prove to be threatening to the world. So, the PCs headed back to Greyhawk in hopes of finding out more about the Tomb of Horrors and how stop the impending evil!
